Re: tell me what you think...
I think the white guy (zimmerman?) got away with attacking this kid and got lucky that the cops beleived self defense. Now that more things that don't support "self defense" are discovered, I hope he gets formally charged. It's very sad for his family. There have been rallies all over the place with so many signs that say "trayvon is my grandson". I hate that it always comes down to race, but I don't want to be nieve (sp?) either.
Right.. I would imagine that the foresic evidence at the scene would have initially supported that but they didn't do a thorough enough investigation, so all that evidence is gone now, I assume.
I heard stuff last night that alleged Trayvon had some incident with drugs. His mother says they are just trying to dirty up Trayvon. I'm definitely leaning towards Zimmerman jumping the gun. Especially since there was that call to 9-11.
I didn't realize till I saw on the news that Zimmerman is not the old white guy I imagined when they talked about him. He may not be, but he looks hispanic in the picture I saw.
My Profile
He actually is half white half hispanic so it's not just a simple racist issue.
This guy became more of a vigilanty in this neighborhood watch thing and I'm quite sure the rest of the residents didn't like it. He had called the cops 49 times including a garage door being up and kids playing at dusk.
However I think about a month before this he did actually stop a break in so I think he just let it get to his head.
To me I guess initially as in that night I could see how they thought self defense but the tapes should've have been listened to if they weren't where the dispatcher clearly asks him is he following him and Zimmerman says yes and she says stop following him...right then and there he was out to "make sure nothing happened" and it was no longer his responsibility.
Does anyone know how he was shot? Front or Back? Because to me that would clear some things up quickly as well.
Doesn't matter though because he pursued him after the dispatcher (who then becomes police authority) told him no and he killed him...so yes it won't be 1st degree it most likely will get brought down to manslaughter but something needs to happen and honestly if it doesn't in the next week or so I feel that he'll be free.
this.
