Under contract after multiple offers!!!

So very excited I just have to share.  The last 3 days have been a crazy series of events for me.  My realtor emailed a new listing to me on Friday while I was on vacation.  Viewed home at 1pm on Sunday (along with 15 other parties in the first 30 minutes).  Completed a pre-inspection Sunday at 5pm.  Offered on the home Monday afternoon.  They were holding all offers until 5pm on Monday; there were 8 offers in total (wow how this market has turned around in the past few months).  I heard this morning that I was in the top 3 of 8 offers.  While I felt like I'd put the best offer I had forward before, with significant escalations, I added $3k more to the offer price.   And..... That was enough!  Under contract!

I'm so incredibly excited!  It turns out that the house is owned by a family who raised their children in this house for the past 30 years.  And my boyfriend was in boyscouts with their sons.  I'm still amazed that a strong offer, a letter about purchasing my first home, the boyscout connection, and raising our future children there helped me beat out another buyer that would have offered $12k more!

Now for another 4 weeks of craziness.  1 day neighborhood review for sewer inspection tomorrow, 15 days to complete financing, and a 30 day close.  Hopefully I make it through this all!  This forum has been an incredible resource over the past 6 months, so grateful for technology connecting strangers.
