  • Yay welcome back Muddled. How was your trip?
  • Ahhhhhhh! You totally fooled me, Morty! What do you mean there's no way in hell? Did you guys change your minds about trying or did something happen? If it's the latter, I'm sorry.

Did The Less Intimidating Brad Pitt enjoy himself too?

  • Welcome back! You were missed!
  • I'll come to chat a little later. I have a few things I need to get done first.

Imoan, Brad had a great time too. I can really never tell him that you say that about him. It could ruin him for life. Or did you already tell him? I don't remember...

The trip was really great. I would love to be able to go back. We started in Chiang Mai, then went down to the beach and then spent a couple of days in Bangkok. It was SO HOT. Oh my goodness was it hot. I am not used to that kind of heat anymore.

In Chiang Mai, we took a cooking class and played with elephants. I am fascinated by elephants. They are brilliant animals. We had several massages and hung out at markets. Oh my goodness, those Thai massages can hurt. I need more. We saw a lot of temples and ate so so much. We also went to a really nice waterfall on the side of a mountain. The air was really smokey. From the mountain, you could barely see the city even though we were really close.

Then we went down to a nice resort at the beach. It had a really gorgeous garden. We went diving and kayaking into little caves. Brad wants to be a cave explorer when he grows up. There are huge rocks just jutting out of the ocean and it is really gorgeous. There was this lagoon in the middle of one of the rocks- I guess the center of the rock just collapsed at some point, so to get there, you have to climb practically straight up the rock and then go straight back down. We went with some people we met diving and we had the lagoon to ourselves for an hour before the hordes arrived. It was really fantastic. I think that was my favorite day.

Last was Bangkok. It's an enormous city, but pretty easy to get around and transportation is cheap. We did the tourist thing, which was hot and crowded. The rest of the city is much nicer and there are really good restaurants. One day we hopped on the train and went to Ayuttaya, an old capital with a lot of temple ruins. We rented bikes and rode around. The day was a little bit of a disaster. Out of 4 tires, we had 3 flats, but the temples were really cool and I'm glad we went. We ended the trip with a Muay Thai match and a trip to the flower market. The flower market was neat. I have never seen so many flowers in one place. We were there at midnight and the deliveries were still coming in from the villages. After an hour of sleep, we hopped on a plane to head home.

I didn't tell him he was a less intimidating Brad Pitt.  Probably because there was no alcohol in my system.  If there was, I can't be held accountable for what comes out of my mouth.

And that trip sounds amazeballs!  SOOOOO JEALOUS!  But we're glad you're back!

No...getting a puppy made both of us realize that we don't have the energy for a baby. LOL

  • Clearly I'm late to reading this so I'm bumping it.

Your trip sounds AMAZING. I want to hear more about the food though! Tell me what you ate!!!!!!

Also, I didn't realize Imoan was calling YH The Less Intimidating Brad Pitt until this post - there was a reference to you and Brad somewhere else on TIP that TOTALLY confused me. Apparently this red hair dye doesn't hide the blonde within.

Now, TELL ME ABOUT THE FOOD.

ACK!!! I forgot you were going to dye your hair!!! Is there a pic on FB?

I can't see why my sudden references to Brad might confuse you. Lol. I decided I was tired of DH.

I'm going to disappear for a little while, but then I'll be back to answer all your questions, I swear. ;)
