I used a tutorial from tenderfeetstitches on etsy found here. http://www.etsy.com/listing/74793198/girls-dress-sewing-tutorial-pdf-kids
This was the most complicated thing I've made since I'm a beginner, but honestly, would be easy for someone with experience. The tutorial was fabulous, super easy to follow and had tons of pictures.

Re: I finished my daughter's Easter dress (PIP)
Adorable!
There is one thing that I feel detracts from an otherwise beautiful dress, and it is the crooked bow. There is definitely a learning curve to tying bows that hang straight...I remember practicing until I figured it out when my youngest was little. She loved to wear dresses and it drove me crazy to see crooked bows.
When we worked for a professional ballet company, everyone would make me tie the bows on costumes because they couldn't make them hang right. My partner still makes me tie them if we are making a costume or anything with a bow. I guess I became sort of an expert.
LOL! I know, I'm terrible at bows, but working on it. I put it on her really quick for the pics and didn't put much effort into the bow. It didn't help that she was playing with it. I swear it wasn't as bad when I first put the dress on her.

Really, I was thinking about bows and out of curiosity, looked up tutorials to see what was out there. This was the only one I looked at, but that is the same way that I tie bows.
