Should i still strength train w sciatic pain?
Should I just avoid doing my back exercises or do I avoid everything altogether? Or can I still do all of it and maybe it will help my back?

It should actually help. The number one thing I've learned NOT to do is to stop or step down on my physical activity, since that actually helps. The only activity my doc and chiropractor advise against with sciatic pain is bicycling, since it locks your pelvis into place.
Also, if you don't already have one, get a foam roller. It is a godsend for sciatic pain.
I have sciaticia and I need to be careful with some of the exercises. I can do dead lifts but I can't do a deadlift with an overhead press. I also can't do a squat to an overhead press either. The best thing for me is just to keep moving.
