Starting Over
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Thank you.

I have 2 technology questions, but the G&T board is so slow!

1) iPhone: I just figured out that I can create additional folders other than just my "Cameral Roll". (Only had an iPhone for 2 years! lol) What I can't figure out is, why can't I delete them from my Camera Roll once they're in a different folder? I assumed it would be like email, where you'd move them from one place to another, not just copy them to another folder.

2) Most pics don't show up on my work computer. I get red X's. I've tried to right click, but that doesn't work. I use IE (and am stuck with it, can't DL anything else), it's probably like 2000 or something. Not Vista or newer, for sure. I've gone into my settings and clicked a box that said Show Pictures or something like that, but it didn't fix anything.

Halp!

    I can't help with the iPhone question, I'm anti-Apple.  :)

But my guess on number 2 is that the image host (facebook, tinypic, shutterfly) that the poster is using is blocked by your workplace firewall.

So, if a picture is showing a red x, right click on it and select properties.  See what the site is (like the ones listed above) and then in a different window, try to open the site.  If you get a blocked message...that's your problem.

I can't see pictures hosted on Facebook or Shutterfly.

  • I wish I knew the answer to #1 as well! But I think the answer is they all have to stay in the camera roll. Which I find uber annoying.
