It was so surreal.
I was driving through the parking garage and this lady was walking down the middle of the lane so I couldn't make a turn onto the row. Through my window I kind of gestured for her to move over and said, "can you move out of the way?". She didn't move, but walked up to my car and punched it.
I stopped my car, got out and went up and asked her what the f was her problem and why did she hit my car? She said I was a rude b for asking her to move out of the way. We argued back and forth a bit.
She then pushed me on my shoulder. I said, "don't touch me" and then she hit me on my torso. So, I punched her in her face. She swung her bag at me, then I grabbed her bag away from her and started swinging it back at her.
She then said, "stop, stop." (I'm guessing because the fight wasn't going how she imagined.) So I stopped. Then she amazingly said, "why did you hit me? why did you attack me?" It was crazy. I was like, "You're crazy, you hit me first. You started this whole thing!" My glasses were knocked off when she swung her bag at me, so I had to look for them, all the while concerned this crazy lady was going to try and hit me again. Anyway. I reported it to security at the garage. Apparently they talked to her later and she changed her story again admitting that she did hit me first, but I've decided to file a police report to protect myself since she already tried to change the story once.
This is a total WTF! I have to admit, I was laughing a little imagining this going down in my head.
In addition to filing the police report, see if the garage has any video cameras that captured the incident. If so, get a copy of the video to show that she hit you first.
The cops just left my office (they came by to take my report.) He basically said that even if she filed saying I attacked her, it's a she said, she said situation since there weren't any witnesses and nothing would come of it because it's such a minor thing. He also said that she had not filed a report herself so far, so I'm hoping that it's dropped from here.

No, the parking garage is a public garage close to my building. She probably works somewhere in the area (security said she was on her way to work), but she doesn't work in my building specifically.
I work in a really busy area so I doubt I'll see her again. I park in the same area every day, so unless we run into each other again in the garage, it's doubtful that I'll see her again.
