DD got her cast off this morning!

Don't know if anyone remembers, but I fell down the stairs carrying DD #2 last month and she broke her leg. After 4 long weeks of being in a spica cast (cast that covers her entire leg + wraps around her waist), she finally got it off this morning! She was not crawling before the accident, but amazingly, she started crawling last week with the cast on, dragging her gimpy leg behind her. She is still crawling like that after getting the cast off (which looks pretty funny), but the doctor said she will get used to using it again...just needs to rebuild her muscle strength and loosen up her hip from a month of not moving at all. She is also very wobbly at sitting up now, but that will come back with time as well, since she couldn't sit up with the cast around her waist.

Anyway, just wanted to follow up and let you know that all is well now. Thanks for your good thoughts!
