I feel like this is the 'problem' with reviews for stuff like this. I got a really bad scratch on my arm and started using it after I noticed I had a scar. I think it has dramatically improved, but I can't say if that is just due to time or to the Bio-oil.
I have recently started using it on an older scar and I think it has lightened, I will have to make sure to do it regularly and then assess again in a little while whether I think it made a difference.
