Munich Germany-where to stay

We are going to Munich Germany in August Any recommendations on where to  stay?

Re: Munich Germany-where to stay

  • We stayed at the Hilton City Center, but honestly, the public transportation in Munich is SO quick and easy that as long as you're near an S-Bahn stop, you're going to be good to go!

If you have unlimited funds Mandarin Oriental no doubt.  If not, we stayed at Hotel Maximillian which is right around the corner, accomodations are average but great value and excellent location.

We stayed here too and liked it.  You can walk to get to the center of the city but the walk is easy.  The hotel's executive lounge was very good if you're a premiere hilton member.

  • We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott.  It was comfortable and well-located within easy walking distance of Marienplatz and the train station.
  • The Le Meridien is in a great spot.  GOod hotel, recommended.
