Re: Babies and bumps (to-be)

  • Well, I'm 36 weeks today, and that's crazy.  As I'm typing this little Chewy has the hiccups.  I love those.  They're cute AND they reinforce that he's head down.

Here's my bump picture from yesterday.

    image

Being on our BMB is just crazy right now.  There are at least 42 outside babies already and we're not even in April.

Ups: I guess it's still mostly ups.  I'm feeling really good.  My feet get swollen pretty quickly, but the swelling goes down almost as soon as I prop them up, so that's an easy fix.  I'm sleeping pretty well, up usually 3 times, but I never have any issues getting back to sleep.  I've been incredibly fortunate this whole pregnancy to have felt so well.

Downs: Not a lot.  Right now mostly just being a bit overwhelmed by how much work we still need to do before he makes his appearance.

I've got my 2nd shower this weekend, and a work lunch next week (the company usually just buys the mom-to-be a gift card) and then I can sit down and figure out what else we need, and y'know, pack a hospital bag and buy this kid some clothes.

  • Raynes I can not believe you are 36 weeks already!  How exciting. I delivered at 36w 3d so it amazes me when others are so close to the end.  1 month lady.  Yay!

Ups: Daycare tells me that Zach is starting to talk more. (I Have yet to hear some of the words she has told me he has said, but I am sure she isn't lying about it.) Christian has figured out how to put on his own shoe, and was trying to put socks on Zach yesterday, seriously they are getting so big, so fast. They are also finally doing really well with utensils, I am hoping the eating with hands is coming to an end.

Downs: They are sick with bad colds again, and it breaks my heart.

Their newest thing is putting their feet up on the table while we eat. I have no idea where they got this from, but it is frustrating.

  • raynes - 36 weeks, eek!

kat - that is so cute about the shoes and socks

I am 37w2d today and here is a bump picture from yesterday.  Not the best angle but it shows off my monkey decal in the nursery...

    image

Ups - still mostly ups except for when I don't sleep well.  I've had a few AMAZING nights of sleep where I sleep so well and don't even get up to pee for 4 hours but then some others I am up for 2 hours at a time with extreme restlessness.

Baby moves around SO much and and just squirms and burrows which is pretty interesting.

My run today was pretty fantastic.  I'm wondering if baby dropped because it was much easier to breathe while running today.

I have my OB appointment in about an hour and my first internal so hopefully he'll be able to tell me if baby is down low.

Downs - not too much.  Those few restless nights suck and make for a sleepy bad day at work the next day.  I had a horrible headache yesterday for about 10 hours that nothing would touch and that sucked.  If I'm walking around too much I get some pretty intense braxton hicks but that's to be expected.

  • raynes and beth - you both look so great.  I can't wait to "meet" your LOs!

kats - I love hearing stories of your boys.  So cute.

Ups: 11 weeks today and I'm still feeling good.  NT scan is on Monday, so I'd appreciate any vibes you have.  As long as everything looks good, we'll start telling people, which I am excited for.  Unfortunately I have to wait a few more weeks at work because my boss is on holiday, but no big deal.

Downs: I haven't exercised at all, with the move and all, so I'm starting to feel pretty lethargic.  I want to get back into it and try to keep in decent shape for the rest of the pg.

No bump yet, but maybe I'll post a baseline pic in the next week or so.  I guess there's a bit of bloat, but my weight hasn't changed so I don't think it's noticable.

  • Beth and Raynes - you are both so cute! I can't believe how close you guys are.

Kat - Hope the boys feel better soon!

Sushi - I can't believe you are 11 weeks already! Good luck at your NT scan!

Ups: my confusing cycle has come to an end and I feel like I get to start fresh again. I also made an appointment to see the doctor next Friday to go over the problems I've been having and hopefully we'll be able to figure out whats going on and move forward. The more I read about PCOS the more I'm convinced I have it, so I'm going to ask the doctor about that.

Downs: My BF is pregnant with her 3rd baby, which was an oops baby, and although I'm extremely happy for her I'm also extremely jealous so I probably haven't been being as good of a friend to her as I should be, but I'm going to change that starting now.

  • Ups: Darian is so mobile now! Just a week ago, I posted this video of him doing a one-legged crawl, and within a couple of days, he started full-on crawling. Too fast for my liking, haha. And he LOVES to chase down Sherlock!

Downs: I can't figure out his sleep lately. It's not terrible because he's still sleeping a lot in total, but his naptimes are all wacky, bedtimes are all wacky, sigh. I think I had read somewhere that around 7-9 months was a time when their sleeping schedules would change.

  • Edmund is crawling all over the place and he is starting to pull himself up. I didn't think that he would be walking by his first birthday but now he very well might be.

His surgery was rescheduled and unless then convince an ENT to do a surgery on a day they aren't scheduled to be in the OR then we will have to do the 2 procedures separately. I really hope that someone takes pity on us and will do the procedures at the same time.

  • Late to the party! I took this picture on Sunday... soooo that makes it 23w, 2d.

Pros: The SPD pain has eased up! I've felt way less exhausted. Heartburn kicked in really badly, but then disappeared after 4 days, so, here's hoping that counts as my run in with that. Oh! And I picked up a name book that raynes recommended and we made some lists. I'm actually surprised with the boy ones we're leaning towards.

Cons: The IBS has come back with a vengeance, and I'm out of sick days at work. =( Also, the constant peeing. Both of the subway stops where I transfer have closed their bathrooms for renovation, which means that I can no longer stop off on my way home. Given that I'm peeing every 40 minutes in the afternoon, and it takes me 60 to get home, it's become a painful ride.

  • Ups: Pretty much everything...I'm feeling lots of movement, I feel good, I have more energy and a good appetite.  Oh, and I'm over halfway!

Downs: I've been busy and the weather has been crappy this week, so I haven't worked out at all.  I just can't bring myself to walk on the treadmill, so unless it is nice out, I haven't been walking when I get home.  Bad me.

Here is a pic from this morning:

  • I know I am late but I just wanted to say I am loving all the bump pictures! You all look so good! Hope we still have this going when I get pregnant someday.

DH and I are not trying this month and are hoping to get back to trying next month, our latest is by August. We just need a few things to fall into place.
