So my husband and I both work full time. We have 4 kiddos so I guess you can say we are super busy....which is probably an understatement....but he's really been ticking me off lately. In the last year a good friend of his moved a block over from us. It's fun because we can get our kids together, bbq, so on and so forth. However, DH and this friend have similar work schedules (both have late afternoon/evening shifts) while friends wife and I work days.....On my days off I do all the things that didn't get handled during the week - mounds of laundry, grocery shopping, housework, yardwork, etc. while my husband sleeps until noon. More recently, on my DH's days off he gets up early, goes to his friends house and stays all day....accomplishing nothing at home. I completely understand the need for free time and don't blame him for going over there once in a while. But at this point I feel like I'm doing all the work while he gets to hang out and not worry about helping out at home....I've been trying to pick up the slack by doing some laundry during the week. But to be honest, by the time I get home, help the kids with homework, make dinner and make sure everyone is bathed....I'M EXHAUSTED.....I'm starting to feel resentful at this point....here I work my tail off at my job, come home and work some more.....which is fine I don't mind having to do things at home or for the kids but, can't a girl get a little help!?!?! I mean my days start at 5AM and aren't over until 10PM.....ugh

Re: Husband vent.....ugh
How about talking to your husband? Telling him you'd appreciate if he'd get off his ass during the day and do some housework before he goes hanging out with his friend.
You need to discuss an equitable division of housework that suits you both.. Stop venting and get to communicating.

no lol, my nickname in school was BB. But, back then we carried pagers not cell phones....so my friends would use 88 when they paged me (HAHAHA). I guess it just stuck with me all these years.

who wouldn't like having fun over cleaning up.....not the point here. We are adults not children, and all I need is a little help. As I stated before I don't mind if he hangs out with his friends occassionally but, I also need his help. And considering we are married, I fully expect it. Regardless I guess he could feel my frustration because he made time to do some things around the house before I got home.
