I just had to break into my yard.

It was not fun. And now my arm is swollen and bruised. However Simon is no longer wondering the street and sneaking into the neighbors yards. Ugh.

  • This reminds me of a cartoon I used to watch, except Simon wasn't getting yelled at, it was his brother Alvin.

I once had to break out of my yard. We have no backdoor to our home and I was 8 months preg. with #2 and I had my oldest with me hanging out with DH in the backyard. DH is a volunteer firefighter so his pager goes off and off he runs. Slams the gate shut and click he locks it from the outside!!!! I don't have my phone on me and we have a privacy fence. I ended up having to break through the gate because I really had to go the bathroom. Little Man decide to take the moment to hit the bladder. DH was so sorry. He said it was just instinct.

Oh gosh I think I would have just started crying.

E took the trash to the curb this morning and I even double checked the gate to make sure it was closed. The dogs had been in and out for over two hours and everything had been fine. Then I went to let them back in before I went to get ready for work and D came in but I couldn't find S. Low and behold the gate was just open enough that he got out he was standing between ours and the neighbors yard. When I went out to get him I heard "click" I was locked out! There is suppose to be a cord so we can open from the outside but it broke and E hasn't replaced it yet. Well I can tell you he will be now.

I had to break into the front yard( thankfully I saw my FIL pop our gate open once so I did it, grabbed a flower pot that had nothing growing in it when and turned it upside down in front of the other gate and used a stick to get the latch unlocked.  Fun times let me tell you.
