my husband never orgasims anymore

My husband and I have an awesome sex life but for some reason he never cums anymore :( is there something I can do or am not doing right? Never had this prob. Before and I get disappointed when he doesn't climax, feels like he not turned on by me :( any advise?

Re: my husband never orgasims anymore

  • Has he recently started/changed medications?  Is he diabetic?  Any sizeable weight gain? Can he maintain an erection, just not "finish"? Any back injuries?

DH also has this problem.  We are still going through testing with a urologist/fertility specialist, so I don't really have any answers yet but these are the questions the doctor asked us over and over.  They believe my husbands issue is due to a nerve issue in his back (he broke his back 3 years ago, this is right about when the problem started).

Don't get frustrated, he probably feels really bad about it too.

This could be either psychological or physical.

He needs to see a doc first of all --- to rule out any physical problem like a stricture or some other internal problem that is preventing him from ejaculating.

    Does he masturbate?

If so, what happens? Does he ejaculate then?

Remember: ejaculate isn't composed entirely of sperm. There is seminal fluid that is manufactured in the prostate -- the prostate also makes comonents for semen:

You're positive there's no ejaculate? Maybe there is and there's no physical sensation that he's orgasmed?

This is why he needs to see a doc. He needs an appointment with a urologist.

Once a physical problem is ruled out, it's likely something psychological. Were there any recent changes in your lifestyle? A sex therapist can get down to the bottom of the issue.

  • What happens if you catch him by surprise? How about oral? I knew a man who had issues with this and it was from a prior relationship. It was about the anticipation of failure. The element of surprise helped with this. Taking the focus off of actual intercourse also helped.

    Does it bother HIM?

If it doesn't bother HIM, it shouldn't bother you.

The above has a lot of great advice!

My DH used to have problems with this, and it turned out it was because he was depressed.

He was hiding the fact that he didn't think he deserved to be with a woman like me. (sweet but not a good way of thinking!) He worked on it and now that he is way more open with me, he doesn't have this problem any more.

  • It is not as simple as whether or not it is bothersome - it could be a medical condition.

The prostate is a tricky area and it can go from something simple like this to something more severe and it can be virtually undetectable until it is too late.

My father had prostate cancer and it wasn't until his prostate swelled so much it shut off his bladder which backed up into his kidneys and caused permanent damage. He collapsed on his way to work after ignoring the initial symptoms for MONTHS.

He is lucky to be alive and lucky the cancer did not get into his bloodstream.

Please take him to a doctor even if he protests.
