C&P: Woman raped by her husband.

So sad :( I remember there was a post like this a few years ago as well. I think she could use as many people as possible telling her she should and can leave.

Re: C&P: Woman raped by her husband.

  • Ugh! Poor woman. :(

I can't imagine my husband ever doing this, but I hope I would be able to put the hurt down and tell him to get his sh!t and get the fucck out of my house. Oh and I'm pressing charges.

  • I can't fvvcking believe there's someone on there basically telling her that her husband resorted to rape because she cheated.

Holy shiit, that marriage has issues. But a cheating wife doesn't make it okay for a husband to rape.

  • Whether by husband, brother, uncle, dad,

To rape a gal is pretty bad.

What's so sad is that she feels like his obsession with sex - his willingness to rape her - is HER fault.  Because she won't give in.  It reminds me of the thread below about how men are groomed to be sexist - you know, since we collude with their boners, it's all our fault when they rape, cheat, and act like pigs.

  • Wow, that is horrible. He is 100% wrong and did totally rape her.

They need to pack their shiit and leave this marriage. She didn't want to have sex before, he is a crazy rapist, neither of them is in it to win it. Over. This isn't a marriage at all. He'll be lucky if he isn't taken to court over this.

  • This is the result of people pushing the gray rape idea.  Someone who's heard all her life that you don't drink too much b/c of the threat of rape is not internalizing the message that it's her fault.

dev, I remember another story similar to this.  It was awhile ago b/c it was someone from my local Omaha board.  She had just gotten married, and they were immediately moving out of state, and he raped her at one of the motels on the way to their new home.

  • please don't flame me because she was raped, imho, but in my states it is legally impossible for a husband to rape his wife, she is basically considered chattel.

Are you in the US? Or in any of these countries? Because if you are, it is not legally impossible for a husband to rape his wife.

In Kentucky there is no such thing as mariatal rape.

  • Unfortunately, there was another "I fell asleep on the couch and woke up to my husband having sex with me post" on TIP within the past year.

  • I remember a couple of years ago, maybe, there was a woman on TIP whose husband had slipped her something and had sex with her multiple times while she was passed out.  Does anyone else remember that?  It haunted my thoughts for a while.

Yeah, that's the one I was referring to.  I think she left him pretty quickly and went back home.  A few of us in the local area had even offered her a place to stay since she had just sold her home to move.

  • was that Gaultry?  She was a regular on TIP for awhile after she left her husband.

  • Its really sad - thank goodness for Dev to talk some sense into a few of the posters. You don't know you're in an abusive relationship when you are.

I hope the post is MUD but for some reason I don't suspect that.

Helper, where do you live? Because spousal rape was legally abolished in all 50 states and DC by 1993. That doesn't mean it's prosecuted the way it should be, or as often as it should be, but it IS illegal.

I remember the one to which you refer - it was posted sometime last summer.  It was then reposted on RE and the OP and responders were roundly mocked for calling "sleep sex" rape.

I really wish I could find it, but I think it was DDed.  For good reason.

    This is my siggy.

No... though gaultry's story did involve rape.  She's still a regular, under the name lint+licker.

didn't we have this debate here? I remember b/c it was like one of the few times that emmy and i agreed that you can't just yell rape in all of these cases.

Yes, I distinctly remember a LOT of debate about whether or not all drunk sex is rape since you can't legally consent, and yet almost everyone has had drunk sex.

My quick google search says that in TN spousal rape is still permissable.

TN 39-13-507 was repealed. I'm looking through the TN code right now, and there is no exemption for marital rape.

  • Jesus Christ.  That poor woman.

And might I add that magsugar is such a nasty heifer.  Everytime I see her post a reply to someone having TIP it's some b*tch of a remark.  Gross.

    those threads always get messy.

If I woke up and H was having sex with me I would not think it was rape.

But if he knew I didnt want to have sex, plied me with wine and then proceeded to have sex with me once I passed out - yeah, that's a whole different story in my opinion.

Exactly. Add in the fact he called her a c*nt when she pushed him off and wouldn't let him finish, well, he can stick his d!ck in the blender.
