I work with Sheldon.

A part-time employee was hired at the same time I was - he's more of a "data monkey," working more hands on withe data than I do.

Anywho.  We're both new, started the same day.

We've both been dragged to endless meetings we wouldn't normally go to, just so our boss and CEO can introduce us to people and help us learn more about what the company does.  CW somehow got out of a particularly boring 2 hour meeting the other day.

I stopped by his office after (right next to mine) and gave a "you missed a REAL exciting meeting..." (dripping with my usual sarcastic tone).

He responds with "um, I don't read sarcasm well, are you jokin or being serious?"

Indifferent

I live in real life BBT.  My CW is a 55 yo Sheldon.

  • age him a few years, and that's pretty spot on.

I can't decide if this is the funniest thing to happen at work, or if I'm going to be miserable working with someone I can only be literal with.

I don't know how to not be sarcastic, people!!!

    I need this shirt regardless!

And Ames, it is finally back on?!  Hooray!  I've been anti March Madness since Mizzou lost, and therefore very bitter to not have BBT to help console me.  Thank goodness New Girl has kept me alive.

  • oh, and yesterday when I was on site with my boss - she had like a 10 minute phone convo with him that should have lasted like 30 seconds.  She hung up and kind of rolled her eyes.  I seized the opportunity to ask if she watches BBT. I left it at that, didn't say/ask anything else.

Her eyes got as big as saucers and said "OMG, you should have NEVER said that!  Now I'm only going to think of Sheldon any time he talks to me!  If he ever asks me why I'm laughing I'm telling him to talk to you."

  • That's awesome!!

Jamie pointed out to me the other day that I have my own personal Amy Farrah-Fowler. He has a female friend that always gushes over me and says really inappropriate things - things about bathing with me and slumber parties and such. She's an odd duck.
