Venting micro-hood outside?
Has anyone done this? We have such trouble with cooking and setting off the smoke alarm when we aren't burning anything! I feel like the microhood does nothing and just puts the exhaust back in the kitchen. The current placement is on an outside wall if that makes a difference. Who would we call for this? HVAC?

Yes a mechanical contractor can install an exhaust hood on either a side wall or better yet a roof.
What is a micro-hood?
Yes, we have a microwave thats a exhaust vent, it recirculates but can be switched to vent outside.

We had our hood installed yesterday by an HVAC guy. It was done in a few hours and works great. GL
