Maui rental on VRBO or Home Away recs?
Hello. We're getting Maui'd

this Sept. and are looking for a place to stay for two weeks. It'll just be the two of us so a studio or one bedroom beach front will suffice. Any recs on places that you've stayed or owners that you've worked with? I just don't know how to search on these sites because there are so many listings! TIA!
Re: Maui rental on VRBO or Home Away recs?
I loved the studio we stayed at for our Honeymoon in Maui. It was at the Mahana, which is a smaller condo/hotel building just north of Whalers Village and about 15 minutes from Lahaina.
The studio was small, but it served as a perfect home base while we were there and I'd definately rent it again.

Congrats! We stayed here last month:

It was amazing. The building is a little older, but the unit is completely updated and you can't beat the view of the ocean. It was stocked with everything you needed for the beach (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, cooler, etc.) The contact, Bonnie, was awesome - very responsive before and during our stay. She manages several properties, and I'd stay at any of them. We liked the location - close to Lahaina and Whalers Village, and a short drive to some of the beaches in Kapalua.
Have fun!
We stayed here too around August 2010. The view was amazing and the location was close to everything. I loved having the beach chairs and umbrella. We rented booogie boards and snorkeling gear while we were there. We would pack a picnic lunch and go boogie boarding at DT Fleming beach or snorkel at Honolua Bay.
Also we really enjoyed the Old Lahaina Luau, kayaking and snorkeling with the sea turtles in Makena and touring the pineapple fields.
