XP: does anybody have a Bissell Pet Hair Eraser handheld vacuum?

I posted this on Pets, but figured somebody here might know.

Pet Hair Eraser? Corded Hand Vacuum

It's on sale at Kohl's and I have a 30% off coupon. I have beagle/rottie mix and I'm just looking for something for the carpet on my stairs and for the couches.

Any reviews or recommendations for some other inexpensive hand vac that is good for the pet hair?

Thanks!

  • We received it as a gift and I like it. It's not a life-saving-wonder or anything, but then again, I don't think I'll ever feel that way about a vacuum. My only 'complaint' is that it has a cord. It's easy to clean, though.

  • Thanks Milsey. Do you have a pet? I just want to make sure it will actually pick up the fur good. I can deal with a cord if I know it's working good.

  • Yes, but both I and the dog shed, lol so it works for us.

  • I have one - love it, works really well. I do find that the filter gets clogged easily, but with two people and two cats that shed a lot, that's probably just going to happen. The little nubs work wonders for getting hair off of carpet, rugs, and my textured upholstery (I'll never do that again. ugh.) - it isn't magical, but it does work well and for the price was definitely worth it for us.
  • I think it's ok...it works great for removing cat hair off our couches, not so great for removing lots of crumbs when my girls make a mess ;)

I don't know how much Kohls has it for, but I got it on Amazon for around $20 w/ free shipping.
