How to cover up a black eye?
(I promise no one hit me!)
I fell down a flight of concrete stairs while running for the subway last night, and now I have a black eye.
I went to the doctor, and luckily I'm not seriously injured, but I need to figure out a way to conceal the bruising on my face before work tomorrow.
Help! Luckily I look good in purple hues, so hopefully I have a eyeshadow that will help conceal it, haha.

Re: How to cover up a black eye?
Maybe try a really thick concealer, like a tattoo concealer (see Kat Von D's line through Sephora). Then you could use purple, grey, or blue eyeshadow to make it look purposeful?
Sorry you got injured, glad you're ok!

Ahh one of my biggest fears is falling down the stairs. I've tried to be more conscious of not running to catch trains because I sprained my ankle on the stairs running to catch a train and my BFF broke her ankle doing the same thing.
Hope you can find a good way to cover your bruise. Luckily it's just one more day until the weekend. Feel better!!

DermaBlend
Most upscale pharmacies carry it. If you can't find it, the Pasteur Pharmacy just up a block or two from Bloomingdales on Lex has it
This. I use dermablend to cover up a blue tattoo for work and it works very well.
Thanks everyone! Yeah, I'm feeling really lucky to have just walked away with a few bruises. Rolling down all those stairs was the scariest feeling ever.
I ended up going to Duane Reade and spending $50 on a new concealer and creme foundation. (Vera Moore brand, if anyone is familiar with it!) Since when did Duane Reade's make-up get so expensive? The good news is that it covered up all my bruising perfectly!

Oh my gosh! That is so scary! I'm glad you are okay. Sorry about your BFF.
OP, I can't believe you fell down a bunch of stairs and only wound up with bruises! You should go get a lottery ticket for the mega millions drawing tonight! Glad you're okay!
