Ojo we need a babies update!!!
How are you doing? Do you know if they are boys or girls or one of each yet? I hope you're doing well!

Re: Ojo we need a babies update!!!
Thank you for asking! I'm doing well so far, but it's hard to imagine another 15 weeks, getting progressively bigger while the exhaustion compounds. The babies are both boys and are growing right on track. I'm hoping to have some big babies in a few months!
Yay for boys! I'm glad all three of you are doing well.
Congratulations on boys!
I can't believe you're 25 weeks already. Cuh-ray-zy!
I'm only 23 weeks. The ticker is set for my induction date (38 weeks, hospital policy shmolicy).
I'm actually close to being ready as far as material stuff goes. I need a crib mattress and some carseats, but other than that, I keep reminding myself everything else is optional and for my convenience. I've gotten tons of wonderful gifts from Nesties and my MIL is sewing up a storm.
Mentally, however, I'm not sure I'll feel prepared until I've successfully gotten through infancy, LOL.
It just doesn't feel real does it? I always likened it to homecoming from a deployment...you know it will happen, you do prepare for it, but you never quite believe it until after it's come and gone.
Are you going to let the doctors induce at 38 weeks if everyone is looking good? (Don't answer if it's too personal.)
Joe will be back in the States with plenty of time to spare before the babies are born.
I don't know about induction. The infant mortality rate does go up after 38 weeks, but the studies I've found that say that don't discern mo/mo, mo/di, or di/di. I have fraternal di/di, the lowest risk for many complications, so I'm not sure those studies apply to di/di (separate sac, separate placenta) the way they would mo/mo (fetuses who share a sac and placenta).
Basically, I'm reading up on anything and everything, but not getting my mind set on anything because pregnancy can change so fast, without any warning. I'll cross bridges as I get to them. We only have one hospital in town, so my options are limited, but I don't want to get myself worked up thinking I'm going to have to fight for a certain birth plan if it's going to be moot at the end of the day anyway.
(For clarification, hospital policy is to induce at completion of 38 weeks, which is in line with ACOG.)
We love hammidowns!
This whole thread is full of win and made my day!
Yay for little boys!
So glad everything is going so well. :-D
Thank you
And thank you everybody else for the well-wishes!
That's sweet of you! I don't have colors assigned to the kids yet, but the paint colors I'm leaning towards are blue and green (Benjamin Moore Land of the Free and Simple Pear), likely with orange accents.
Not yet!
Oh yay! If I can still find it I know the prefect yarn to use!
Truer words have not been spoken...er, typed! YAY for boys!
