Anyone have them? Thoughts? I am currently in the Guide 4s. They got mixed reviews, but I actually like them. I need a new pair of shoes soon (in a couple weeks), and I'm not sure if I want to go for one more pair of the Guide 4s or step up to the Guide 5s. I heard positive things from a running store about the Guide 5s. I'm on the fence about less heel-toe drop, though.

Re: Saucony Guide 5s
I haven't gotten the 5's yet. Still have an extra clearenced pair of the 4's waiting for me in a shoe box.
I'm actually nervous about the heel drop. I like the Guides because I have less calf issues in them than in shoes with a smaller heel-toe drop. The (closer to) minimalist thing isn't for me.
But yeah, I've never had the top or sides of my shoes fall apart before. There was something funky about the 4's..........
I'm still on my Guide 3s.
I'm anxious to try the 5s, because I also run in Newtons, which have a low heel drop and I love them. They're super expensive though, so if the Guide 5s work, I may try to mix them into my rotation.
I've been doing shorter runs once or twice a week in the Brooks Ravenna 2. They're a nice lightweight shoe, with a much slimmer sole. Definitely less bulky than the Guide.
I have issues with calf tightness on longer runs so I don't usually go more than about 5-6 miles in them. The Guide's larger heel-toe drop is a very noticeable difference for me.
I recently started running in the Ravenna's as well. I love them and want to get another pair. I keep looking for a good deal on the 2's since they are clearancing them out for the 3's. I used to be a Brooks Adrenaline girl only. So glad I found another shoe I love.

I've never tried the Adrenaline's. How do they compare to the Ravenna? I may need to find a new shoe if the Guide 5's don't work out......
I just got them about two weeks ago. I had really sore knees and calves after my first few runs. They really encourage a mid-foot strike and the lighter shoe is pretty awesome. I haven't had any issues with the knee soreness and I've been running in them without switching them up. The only issue I have is the rubbing of the cushion on the inside of my foot near my big toe. I think because I had been running in the Rides and I'm getting used to running with stability again.
My runs range from 3-6 miles lately so I haven't run any type of distance in them. I kept my first few runs to 3 and 4 miles while I got used to them.
I have them and love them. I went from 4s to 5s, and I may have been too new a runner to notice the differences between them, but I was happy in 4s until I started having unusual pain. I switched to 5s, pain subsided, and I kept on running.
P.S. I have limited edition vizipro pink, and I super puffy heart them. They are my babies, but I know hot pink isn't for everyone.
