Ok, I got the Garnier BB cream...
I am normally anti beauty fads, ha ha. I gotta say, the stuff is....different. Not moisturizing like a TM, which is good bc I hate TMs...it dries very matte. kinda reminds me of my Origins Vitazing in some ways.
I still set with my BM mineral veil and it looks good. Veridict is out about
1. how it will hold up with my oily skin
2. if the smell will eventually bother me
Target has it on sale right now, $11 and change
Re: Ok, I got the Garnier BB cream...
It dries matte? It's shiny on my face and I have to use powder to take away the shine. I have normal to combo skin.
Weird that it's so different.
I bought it yesterday too. I used it instead of my liquid foundation and it seems to have the same result and coverage. It is easier to put on though, which I like. And I love the smell.
I too have oily skin and so far it doesn't seem to be helping it or making it worse...
I bought it over the lunch hour at Walgreens (they have a $1 off coupon). Although, Amazon has it for around $8 (for the light version).
I can't wait to try it out tomorrow.
I am going to be stalking you about this since we both have oily skin and you turned me onto the murad oil absorbing lotion. I would love to hear what you think after a few days. I have tried both the smashbox bb and the clinique bb and both of these stay matte all day for me which is a huge blessing, but the garnier is much cheaper so...
I suffer from migraines and smells are extremely tricky for me. If the smell is overpowering there is no way I could use it.
yes. I let it sit for about 10 minutes to see what it would do...because when I first applied, it came out like TM. Then it dried a bit and didn't feel like I had anything heavy on my face. I used so little too...bc the color freaked me out for my pale skin.
But like I said, I set it with my mineral veil and will continue to do so. I don't have 10 min. to wait every day...and I can get pretty oily anyway. It's almost like a comfort blanket to set with powder.
ha ha! I will give it a week and report back. I may try the murad lotion under it...we shall see. I personally don't like the smell...maybe it is the sunblock in it? But it isn't as noticeable once you apply it. I also get migraines
I am glad you like the clinique one...I may get a sample from Sephora if I ever make it there.
Go Phils!!
Really? Sorry you have to suffer too. Do smells set you off at all? Does it smell like sunscreen? Sunscreen is one of those smells that can make me sick the instant I smell it.
So you didn't put the murad under the bb cream? I haven't bought it yet, but I got a sample from sephora and it does work. But honestly, the smashbox keeps me so matte all day, that I don't think I really need it under it.
I get migraines from smells too. While the smell is strong to begin with, it does go away and doesn't bother me. All of their products that I've used so far have that smell. I think it must be a specific fragrance they use in all of their products. I would rather smell nothing than a strong fragrance.
Now, Philosophy's Hope in a Jar has a distinct smell that bothers me and that I can smell almost all day. The Garnier stuff is much better.
Crazy to find so many migraine ladies here! I haven't used any garnier products, but have tried one of their hair serums that didn't give me a headache.
