I'm going to NYC in mid May with my H and parents. My parents will be staying in the hotel for 2 or 3 nights and my H and I will be staying 4 nights. So I'm thinking this is a little tricky to use priceline for 2 rooms and different number of nights. I am also monitoring travelzoo for deals but was wondering if anyone has any tips for me. Affordable hotel recs in a good location would also be very much appreciated. TIA!
Re: NYC Hotel Tips
whats your idea of affordable?
I think you should pick where you want to stay and then find a hotel. There are over 100 hotels in Manhattan alone.
I also think you'll need to bump your price -- $250 should get you a nice hotel. I'd be a little leery of a hotel under $150. We're doing one night in a hotel for a wedding and it is over $300.
We're locals buts have stayed at the Doubletree on stone street in the financial district for under $200 a night,it was mid August I believe and it was super tiny but really new/clean and had great service
