How do you store your knit cardigans?

I like the light weight knit cardigans but can't figure out how to hang them.  On hangers they get those weird shoulder bumps.  On padded hangers they get weird large shoulder lumps.  If I fold the sweaters, they get creases.

What's the best way?

Re: How do you store your knit cardigans?

  • Fold them using tissue paper.  Put it on a flat surface and place a piece of white tissue on top of it while it's laying flat.  Fold the sweater with the tissue inside of it to keep the creases from happening.  If you don't have space for folded sweaters, hang them over the bar of the hanger with tissue between the bar and the sweater.  This will keep creases from happening and the bumps from them pulling at the shoulders.
  • There's a reason I would never post pics of my bedroom... About once a month I will fold and stack nicely but otherwise they are thrown on top of a shelf. I definitely wouldn't hang them - not only for shape but I don't have the room for hanging stuff.
  • Thanks!  I do have the shelf space, so I will fold them.
