Do you remember eating/drinking this?

Re: Do you remember eating/drinking this?

  • I think crispy M&Ms are still kicking here in Australia.  I'll have to confirm this, though.

Surge goes by Urge, but is still in Norway, where it was invented.

The only thing on this list I mourn is Magic Middles.  Those cookies were the bomb (if they're what I'm remebering).  And Squeez-Its, I know a lot of my childhood obesity could be attributed to those damn delicious things.  Orbitz was gross, but the epitome of 90's so I love it on a nostalgic level.  I still think of those when I hear Orbitz gum.

Does anybody remember OK Soda and their free, fun hotline 1-800-IFEELOK?

  • The only thing I vaguely remember drinking is Squeeze-It. And of course I remember super-sizing, but I don't know that I actually ever did it.

  • The only product I know in there is the crispy M&Ms and we only got those here a couple of years ago!

  • We have crispy M&Ms here. I always liked them.

I would've loved to try the oreo cereal, anyone in S. Korea care to do a trade for some German candy?

I remember the Uh-oh oreos. Those were horrible. For the rest, I don't think I ever had them. I probably tried the crystal Pepsi once. I can't believe the super size is gone from McDonalds. I haven't eaten at a McDonalds in the US in years and never would've gotten my meal super-sized, but it's still weird to think of them not doing that anymore.

  • Wait, crispy m&ms were discontinued in 2004??? No wonder I could.never fimd them. They rocked! Also, squeez-its will always hold a special place in my heart. Most of the other stuff I don't even remeber.

  • Magic middles WERE delicious. That makes me a bit sad. Most of the other things on this list have no meaning to me at all.

Oh, except those peanut butter things, vague memories of those.

Now I am in the mood for junk food...

  • Before I clicked on the link I was hoping that crystal Pepsi was on the list. I was not disappointed. My hometown, Indianapolis was one of the test markets for Crystal Pepsi. I remember Magic Middles. Those never lasted long in my house. I sort of remember the PBMax thing.

  • Ah, crystal Pepsi, Orbitz, Squeezits.... all things in the long line of fads that my mom never allowed us to buy into.

Needless to say, my childhood was dull yet wholesome.

Yes, Crispy M&Ms are still available in Australia.  I actually did a happy dance in Woolies when I saw them the first time.

DH knows if I am feeling down or homesick, a surprise bag of Crispy M&Ms will help cheer me up and make the word rosy again.

  • Orbitz was so cool! ...But yeah, they're right. It looked a lot better than it tasted.

  • I remember most of them :) I dropped a 2liter bottle of crystal pepsi all over the curtains as a child and was lucky that it was clear so I wouldn't be in trouble! I have bad memories of the Pb things, I reached for one that was in an open pack and there were live crawly things inside. Needless to say, I haven't touched one since
  • i remember and have had most of those.

clearly i had a super healthy childhood.

the only one i'd really like again are the crispy m&ms. i loved those.

When I was in college, I thought I'd use my new found independence and buy a can of Spaghettios, another thing my mom never let us have. Definitely had to throw out the whole can after a couple bites. They were so sweet and nasty.

I always joked that my teenage rebellion would be taking shots of Miracle Grow. (Mom was an organic farmer.)

Our moms must have thought alike, there is no way she would let us have any of that!

I do remember the Crystal Pepsi  and PB max thing though (although we only had soda on a special occasions- holiday or birthday).

That colored ketchup looks so disgusting, but I can see why kids would probably like it.

And I knew supersize was gone! Australians talk about it all the time like thats all Americans eat! I always say that it doesn't exist anymore, but I didn't realize it was gone since 2004!

Ohhh my childhood obesity was most definitely partially contributed to Squeez-Its! Along with Taco Bell, family-sized cans of ravioli, and spray cheese. Oh Lord.

  • Oh, magic middles were so good! My friends and I were obsessed with Surge, loved it so much. I remember when it was discontinued, one of my friends stocked up and kept a bunch in her closet for a year or two. She used to let us dip into her stash when we had sleepovers at her house (her dad worked for Coke).

Some of the other ones i remember, but didn't eat that often. I had no idea Butterfinger BB's no longer existed.

  • I remember almost all of them. Not that I had them a ton but I definitely remember them. But the Josta drinkdiesnt ring any bells...

  • I only had a few of these, like french toast crisp, crispy MnMs, and the waffle cereal.

  • Oh, and 3D doritos... those were pretty good... but so are all doritos really. Except ranch. But that's just me.

  • I remember most of them.

Funny you posted it...I just spotted TANG at the grocery store here in Spain.  I bought a pack...it tasted a bit differently than I remembered.
