Need Hope

Im working in retail and so does my Fiance'.
Sometimes money seems so tight and feel like the "Up" couple saving money only to use it for life emergencies.
I just wonder when we can break though this dry spell with Retail Jobs anyone else with the same problem?

Do you have any other experience? Any higher education?
I worked retail in college and miss it at times, but would never do it again lol.
It also depends on where you live.. and what area of retail you work in. My friends work retail and make well over $20-something an hour. Some make commission, some do not. You can do well in retail, if that's what you want to do. Get a better skill set, learn to sell products and do well in areas of customer service. Try not to get trapped into a retail job that doesn't offer room for getting promoted and those that don't offer raises.
What other skills or education do you have? Do you want to get out of retail or do you want to continue it?
Also, with your money situation, maybe you are living outside your means or do you need help with a budget? If so, I suggest heading over to the MM board.

Where I work there is no way (unless someone dies or moves away) of promotion. I do not wish to work is this line of work. I am going to school to complete a degree. Thanks for the advice for the money management board
