BB cream for oily skin?

I am finally catching  on posts here and so intrigued by all this BB cream talk.I have fairly good slain with very little occurrence of pimples (minus some of these small bumps I have between my brows but that is another post).

I do not need a full coverage but want to even out my skin tone. I have tried countless oil-free tinted moisturizers but they have all left my skin a greasy, dirty mess.

Are there any BB creams I can use that are more geared towards oily skin? Like I said, I do not need a lot of coverage- just something to make my skin tone even.

Re: BB cream for oily skin?

  • I just bought Bobbi Brown and it is fabulous. Great coverage and no grease or oil, but not drying either.  You can't get it in the US yet, but hopefully it will be available soon.

No way, thanks for the review. I've tried Bobbi Brown's oil-free TM and I was still pretty slick by mid-day :( I hope this one works better...

eta: Did you happen to pick it up in Japan? If so, my brother is vacationing there right now and I'll ask him to pick me up some...

  • I tried Smashbox's BB cream and I really like it.  I love Bobbi Brown foundation so I'd be interested to try that when it's available.
  • I barely did anything yesterday and the Garnier one made my greasy...I would pass on it, but I am going to try it with the MURAD Mattefier lotion today

This was my fear exactly. I have even tried Origins Vitazing and felt greasy. I feel like there is nothing out there for what I need!

Let me know how it works out with the Murad...

  • I've tried both the smashbox nn and the Clinique bb and neither made me look oily.  That is my Problem with normal foundation, even oil free formulas slide off my face mid day, and by evening you can't tell I even put it on.

I liked the smashbox better and it mattifed me all day, which is something that has never happened for me before. I didn't put anything underneath, and didn't even set it with powder. Love this stuff.  And I hate the smashbox primer because it makes me look oily right away, the bb cream is amazing,

  • I was gonna ask this very question OP! I use mineral powder foundation daily (korres) and it works pretty well on my oily skin since it is not liquid at all, haha, but now that I've been taking better care of my skin, I wanna take advantage of that for the summer and try something different. I look forward the the rest of the responses. So far it looks like Garnier is out, Smashbox may be an option, and Bobbi Brown is good but not in the US yet!
  • Yea I can only use Vitazing in very cold weather. Otherwise, it sits around. It barely got cold enough this year...
  • I'm really liking the Clinique BB for my combination skin.  I get really oily in the t-zone, but actually have some dryness on my cheeks.  I have to put something on my face after washing and before applying the BB just to give some extra moisture on my cheeks.  I haven't had any problems with getting too oily in my t-zone with this BB, although I do use powder twice a day.

I got a sample of the Boscia BB cream in the Sephora VIB sample bag. It worked really well on my combo-to-oily skin so I bought the full size. It evens out skin tone without getting too greasy. I set it with LM powder.
