Am I the only one that thinks TB Revas are uncomfortable?

Sorry to be a post whore tonight- I've been up since 1am and just had a lot of F&B thoughts and questions...

I have the TB Carolines in size 7 and I love LOVE LOOOOVE them. So comfortable. I have a pair of TB Revas in black and they are sitting in my closet collecting dust (in size 7). What a waste! BUT- I was on Nordstrom's website and saw they have a red (volcano) color and I am just so drawn to them.

I am contemplating getting them and possibly ordering a 1/2 size larger- maybe this will help with the fit?

Re: Am I the only one that thinks TB Revas are uncomfortable?

  • I don't think they are comfortable either.  The elastic in the back hurts my heel.
  • Mine are my least comfortable pair of flats. I tried on the wedges and they weren't half as bad, but also didn't have the elastic backs.

  • Reviews always say they'll eventually break in and be so comfortable...still waiting for that to happen on mine and I got them last fall. I'm disappointed in mine.
  • I find mine to be really comfortable while I'm wearing them, but then I realize that I can't wear them 2 days in a row! Certain spots hurt on day 2.

I did buy them 1/2 a size larger though. Maybe that's the trick?

  • I refuse to buy TB flats ever again.  They are way too pricey for what they are. If they were super comfortable then the price could be justified.  It's not just the elastic on the back, I have several pairs of flats with elastic on the back that are different brands that don't hurt my feet.
  • I never bought them because they literally ate my feet walking around the shoe floor at Nordstrom.
  • I love their look and I wear them a lot during the week for work but I don't think they are that comfortable either.  For me it's not the elastic that hurts, it is the toe box. I have long toes and I don't think the short toe box is made for that at all.  I have worn an 8.5 and a 9 in them and it doesn't help, so I don't think changing your size will do anything.  It's weird how some days they are comfortable and others they are terrible.

I don't really think it's the elastic that hurts me either. I have wider feet, so te toe box feels restrictive and it just plain hurts.

  • They don't bother me at all but one of my sisters can't wear them.

  • I've yet to find a ballet flat with an elastic heel that doesn't hurt like hell, no matter the price. Yuck.

  • I can't wear them either, and I tried two pairs. The back elastic hurts, and they don't offer enough support. I also don't find them particularly well made for the price point. I have other Tory Burch shoes that I love, though.

A Nordstrom SA introduced me to AGL ballet flats as an alternative to the Reva, and I fell in love.

I just bought 2 pairs of AGL heels for work. The most comfortable dress shoes I've ever had.

  • Ugh! No not the only one. I had the Revas on my wish list for a few years and my husband finally bought them for me for Christmas. They are so painful in the toe area for me-I feel like my toes are being pinched and smushed together and the leather rubs me wrong too. So bummed bc they're so cute but I can only wear them for short trips where I don't do too much walking. I just bought a shoe stretcher so hopefully I can get more width on them making them bearable.
