Make up brushes?

How often do you wash your make up brushes?  I try to wash mine once a week, but often forget to do that.  How often should I be washing them?

Re: Make up brushes?

  • I try to wash my foundation/concealer brushes once a week because I feel like they get more "germy".  I wash my other ones about once every two weeks.  I just use a brush cleaner...it's pretty easy.  Thanks for reminding me...need to do that today!
  • When I feel like they don't "do their job" anymore, if that makes sense.
  • I also try to wash them once a week. Sometimes it does not happen.

I don't work for them and have no connection with them, but Sigma has a brush roll that dries brushes in 4 hours or less AND reshapes them beautifully.   I got it a while back and I love it.   Really recommend it.

I have this brush roll too and love it.  The only brush I don't use in it is my angled face contour brush.  For some reason the roll makes the bristles splayed when they dry.  For everything else, though, it works great.
