Cleaning deposit from toilet bowl
We moved into this house last October. The two toilets upstairs have a hard brown deposit in the bottom of the toilet bowl (gross). It looks like it would be slimy but it is rock solid. I was able to chip some of it away, but some of it I can't reach to chip off. It hasn't gotten any worse since we moved in, so I have no idea what the stain is from. Also, the half bath downstairs doesn't have this problem, so I don't think it's the water causing an issue.
Any idea how I can clean it off?
Thanks! I have a picture but I know it's not something most people want to see.
Re: Cleaning deposit from toilet bowl
I read hard brown deposit in toilet bowl and automatically thought it's poop, flush it.
So, apparently I'm 12 years old today.

Turn off the water supply, flush the toilet until there's no standing water, then go after the stain with a wet pumice stone (our local ACE carries pumice). That's the best thing I've found for tough porcelain stains. Just don't use it dry, or it will scratch the porcelain, then you'll have even more problems.
Rust?
