How to get rid of small bumps by forehead?
I have these small bumps right above my eyebrows and in between my brows... I have no idea how to get rid of them! I do have oily skin there (combination skin).
Any ideas what I can do to rid this?
Re: How to get rid of small bumps by forehead?
I have a script for Retin A- and have been using it 2-3x/week. I even use a Clarisonic (though I should replace the brush head now) and use that a few times a week too. I do admit that I get lazy or tired some nights and just use a facial wipe and I wonder if it is just not getting all the gunk out of my pores?
How long have you been using Retin A? After about two months of use I was amazed to see that most of the blackheads on my nose were gone. I'd see if washing twice a day in that area using some exfoliation both times (clarisonic, buff puff, or just a washcloth) helps. Are you going to try to move up to daily Retin A use or stick with the 2 to 3 times a week? If your skin will tolerate daily use, it might take care of the bumps as well. If these things don't work and the bumps really bother you, maybe consider a chemical peel. If you don't want to do a peel all over your face, you can use it just to spot treat the area. Chemical peels tend to work best for fair skin and can cause problems with darker complexions, so I don't know if it's a good option for you, but it's something to consider.
Hey Dawgs!
I've been using Retin A on/off for 1 year. I have been really lazy about using it, but have started using it again as of late. I did notice that the expiry date for my Retin A (Tretinoin cream 0.05%) is May 2012. I only have a small amount left, but it's not like it can go "bad", right?
I also use my Clarisonic, and will increase the usage too. I alternate b/w Mary Kay Timewise and Philosophy Purity cleansers. I just have all these small bumps (they're not red in color) in b/w the area b/w my eyebrows, along my eyebrow line, and kind of throughout my forehead. Nowhere else on my face! It is super annoying and I'm getting irritated by it.
Maybe try using the retin A a little more often. I use it almost every day. You could try using it more just in the areas where you are having problems if you don't want to use it all over your face every day.
Good call- will try this.
