I follow him on Twitter and he tweeted multiple times about how awesome the Edmonton Orchestra was and how great of a place to perform it was and even put up some pictures he took before the concert. I was like I KNOW SOMEONE THERE AND I HATE HER!!!

Re: Lindsay- Ben Folds
It was so good! The conductor for the Symphony Orchestra looks pretty young, he was totally groovin away. It was great. At one point people started yelling out for him to play this song or that song so he made up a ditty a-la "rock this ***" which blew me away. He would just add in instruments and be like "violins, play this" and play a diddy on the piano and they'd all just start playing that part. The lyric was something like "why is everybody yelling at me". Hard to explain, but so cool.
The best part was he played "Gracie" and I totally didn't think he would but B has sung that as "Kenzie girl" to her since before she was even born. So we really loved that.
He came out and played his encore and I was saying to B that I would have really liked to hear him play a couple songs just him and his piano and then he came out and did just that in a second encore. After he played a super sweet drum solo!
Didn't know he could play the drum set. That's awesome.
He is just about everything that is awesome about music. He is cool and nerdy but at the same time stupid talented and basically a musical genius that can come up with stuff just on the spot. I need to follow him closer so H and I can go see him at some point. For heaven's sake, he lives an hour from me, you'd think that'd be easier done than said. Glad you had a great time!!
thanks for sharing! I'm quite jealous as well..kind of a major Ben Folds fan as well...
concerts are few and far between these days though!
Apparently he started out as a percussionist. Had a scholarship for college.
I had no idea. As a percussionist myself.. I love it!
I thought you might
