We have a business casual environment, but I tend to wear a lot of skirts and dresses- especially in the summer months.
Do you think these shoes are worth it, and I can wear them routinely?
eta: This will be my first JC purchase. I am a heavy stepper and will most likely wear these often since I love the style and will match a lot of my work clothes. I just hope they will keep up for a long time for $465
Re: LIP: Do you think this could be a versatile pump (Jimmy Choo)?
I like the shoe just fine, but it's so basic that I feel like you can find a similar shoe for half the price (or less) that would be just as versatile.
I've never paid over $150 for any shoe, other than boots though, so no shoe for that price is worth it to me personally.
Quite honestly, I felt the same thing (in that it's a pretty basic shoe style)... I should look for something different...
This. They would have to be amazingly comfortable for me to spend $465 on such a simple, basic shoe (and by looking at that picture, I can't imagine they are especially comfortable)
Which pair(s) do you own that you love?
This.
The comfort factor would have to be super amazing, and I'd have to wear them for years to justify that. Looking at them, I don't think they're that special. You're definitely paying for the label. I would bet you could get something similar and of good quality for under $100.
I have a pair of glitter pumps and the wedge espadrille.
I'm really loving the Lace Sue Suede Peep Toe Mary Janes in coral right now. I can't pip but they're on the Saks website
Yes.
Warning though -- I have a very, very similar pair of Jimmy Choos (mine are called Jag). They look like this: http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/21244. Virtually identical to the ones you posted about.
They are BRUTAL. Incredibly, incredibly uncomfortable. Which is strange, because all my other Jimmy Choos are relatively comfortable.
Hmm, ok.
I do agree with other posters that it is a pretty basic shoe and I should be able to find one pretty similar that is still comfy and around $100.
Thanks for everyone's feedback...
