Where to stay around Yosemite
We're considering a trip to Yosemite this summer, and I think we're probably starting too late to actually stay in the park. Do you have any recommendations for places to stay close to the park? It's just DH, me, and our 18 mo old DS. We're not looking for luxury, but a private bath would be nice. Thanks!

Homes and cabins:

I used to camp in the cabins when I was little. We grew up around here and my brother lives in the area so I don't "hotel" but I'm at least familiar with the above.
We stayed at the Cedar Lodge in El Portal last summer when we went---it isn't fancy, but we had a room w/ 2 queen beds, a TV (HBO), and a shower/bathroom/etc. It's about 20 minutes from the park, which worked perfectly for us (we were hiking Half Dome and wanted a "real bed" for the night before and after).
There is a restaurant on-site (slightly overpriced, but we ate there b/c we were so tired after the hike) and also a gift shop/quickie mart for snacks/toiletries.
