Hi all,
MH and I went to South Africa (Cape Town + safari in KwaZuluNatal) a few years ago and LOVED IT. I've been urging my parents to go and now they've asked me to book a trip for them. Of course, I said yes and waited until the last minute.
They don't travel much, so I'm hoping to get something that takes care of pretty much everything for them (transfers, etc).
I'd like for them to have a tour in Cape Town and then a number of days at a private game lodge for the safari (don't see them doing drives on their own at all!).
The tough part? They need to go in May or June of this year.
I don't really have the time to plan on the details myself, so I'm hoping for some really great travel agent recs to plan to the trip for my parents. Or maybe someone who has a really detailed itinerary that they'd be willing to share that I could just copy?

Re: Help figuring out a South Africa trip for my parents
DH uses Gillian when he is in Cape Town for work, sometimes it is just for airport transfers, he'll use her if he has free time (holiday or weekend) and wants to get out and see the sights.

Cancer sucks.
There are tons of tour operators that will arrange every detail for you. I'm in the midst of planning a trip to Tanzania and a number of the companies I've looked up work in South Africa as well. You might want to pick up a tour book or two and get quotes from a handful of the companies listed there. Fodor's Complete African Safari Planner is helpful.
Two companies I've talked to that also cover South Africa are &Beyond and Premier Tours, just to get you started.
