QOTD

What's the largest gap in age that you feel is appropriate for two people to be in a relationship?

I have two different views, on this. When in your teens, I feel like it should be no more then 1-2. But say after 21ish, I don't think it should matter as long as they are happy.

Re: QOTD

  • I agree, it depends on the ages.  Once someone is older the age gap can definitely be wider.

I think if you are 21 or under, up to a 3 year age gap is no issue.

If you are 21-30, up to a 7 year difference is no issue as long as it is not going below the age of 22.

If you are 30+ I don't think it really matters as long as it's not someone under 21 or 22.

I still think that a lot of the huge age gaps (25+ years) are creepy (a 35 y.o. with a 70 y.o, like you see on Maury or Springer) but if they are happy...

Pretty much this exactly. The older both people get the bigger the gap can be, but even then if I see a 25 yr old with a 65 yr old, there's a side eye.

  • I suppose it depends both over say age 28 any gap under 15 years I might not flinch at all. That being said my parents had an 11 year difference, I use to not think much of it but now I kind of go hmmmmmmm.
