LOVED last night's episode. What did everyone think?
I was super excited to see Betty back. Whe weight storyline is going to be very interesting. Betty is all about appearances and obviously has always had a lot of emotional turmoil that she was surpressing. I'm interested to see where they go with that. I was pleased that she called Don when she was scared and that he reacted kindly. And I was annoyed that Henry was so cold considering they have kids together...of course she would call Don. Henry still seems threatened by him. Otherwise Henry seems like a good guy. I hope Betty can find some happiness this season.
I don't know how I feel about the new copywriter. I'll be devestated if he does someday become Peggy's boss. I wonder what he'll be all about.
I'm still 50/50 on Megan. She seems like a nice woman and good with the kids, but, I don't know, something about her that makes me not want Don to end up with her. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe because I've fallen in love with all these cynical characters, and this happy optimistic one sort of annoys me?
And Pete went all out to put Roger in his place. I can understand, but I wouldn't really want to start a war with Roger, he's no dummy. But I didn't get what Roger said to Peggy at the end when he said "Forget everything I said before. [Pete] is the last guy I hired". Does that mean the new copywriter isn't hired or did it mean something else?

Was anyone else shocked as hell that Don didn't try to bed that young girl at the Stones concert. Instead he was very much like "Go home and act your age." Are we finally seeing a grown up side of Don? Maybe he really does love Megan.
Chubby Betty was just throwing me off the whole time. So out of character for her. I loved the scene where she is just smelling Gene's head. I like to see her tender side.
I couldn't get into Betty's storyline. I just kept thinking you have a pregnant actress and THIS is the best idea you can come up with? Was all the makeup really necessary? That's a lot of weight to put on in 9 months.
I loved the phone call with Don though, and it was interesting to see him tell Megan she couldn't understand.
The Stones concert was awesome. And Roger - "When are things going to get back to normal?" I like how they've spread out the seasons enough to see these people who were once on top of the world unseated by the young.
BTW, they haven't done this ep yet, but this is my new favorite review. Roger's subtly plaid suit at the end was awful!

No, I think this goes along with him feeling old at his birthday party. I think he realized that this girl was not much older than his daughter, and so he's starting to feel protective of younger women now instead of just being all lecherous and whatnot.
I asked Dev the same thing. She said Cooper was suggesting his judgment may not be so great due to him hiring that guy, given he gave the green light to hire the copywriter (of whom I hope to be a main character).

OK. I laughed at this, "always darkest before the Dawn over there." I laughed. Hard. Roger is SO wrong.
I, too, was waiting for Sally to say she didn't want to be fat like Betty.
Betty gets on my nerves because she could be out being active in the community and not sitting around eating and watching soaps. Do something, damn!
Pete gets on my nerves.
I didn't think Don was going to touch that girl. He seemed to be treating her like he would treat Sally.
Megan is too young and doesn't quite fit in Don's world. That's going to wear off soon.
That phone call with Betty and Don made me think of me and Jflute cause I can see us having that interaction.
