UPDATED: Adventures in Dating (sort of)

So here is my funny story for the week. I went out on Saturday and met this guy James. He was laying it on a bit thick, but was really nice and fun (at first) so I gave him my phone number. We hang out do some karaoke there is some flirting and it's fun, and then...I go to order another drink. He says "I wouldn't order that drink, because once you have one more you aren't going to be able to resist going home with me." So for someone reason this really set me off. I said, "Well seeing as you're so irresistible and I couldn't possible contain myself, I better just leave." I picked up my stuff and walked out.

I wake up to a six text messages and a missed call from him from him including:

"where are you, let's get sexy."

"I want to make you breakfast"

Creepsters. Of course I just ignore.

Then around 11 on Sunday he sends me a freaking good morning text, followed immediately by a call and a voicemail.

Clearly he can't take a hint...

UPDATE: He called me again. During the work day. I didn't bother to listen to the voicemail. But it is officially my first stage five clinger. I'm sure this is a sign Mr. Right is just around the corner...

I probably could have laughed off his initial comment....the multiple texts and call, not so much.

  • pdx, I love your response to his douche-y comment. I am sure the look on his face was probably priceless.

Yea from the right person it wouldn't have set me off, but I was starting to get the douchy/creepster vibe and it was a good excuse to get the heck out.

  • Holy clinger!!!  I loved your response to his overassertiveness.
