Sperry owners- Questions for you...
I just got a pair of Sperry Angelfish over the weekend- they are so comfy!
1. I tried a 6.5 and my heels were coming out of the shoe when I walked, but the size 6 were tight and painful. I opted to get the 6.5 size, but am wondering if anyone has this problem? I've tried tying the laces tighter and they really don't get that much tighter, and my friends say they really don't stretch either. I hope I got the right size?
2. Do you wear no-show socks with it? 1/2 of my friends do, the other half don't.
Re: Sperry owners- Questions for you...
They stretch. I actually wear mine on the boat so they get wet and stretch then too. I never wear socks when I dont absolutely have to, so no socks for me.
I have a small bunion on my right foot, and the size 6 was especially painful when I walked. My toes were right up against the top of the shoe too when I walked. I just think the size 6 are overall too small... But the size 6.5 just seemed oo lose. I tried on 2 pairs of each size too. Not sure i I will keep, but I like how casual hey look with jeans! I do own a pair of cute Coach tennis but feel I can wear Sperry's with more outfits.
Some of the Sperry Angelfish shoes are available in a wide width... do you think a 6W might work better for you? By your description, I'm not sure it's the right solution to your problem, but it might be something to consider
I had no idea they stretched! My friends are telling me wrong
I will also look into the wide version too.

I've been wearing mine for over a month and they haven't stretched much. After a week of pain I took them into the cobbler to get stretched and that helped a bit, I still would say they're far from being my most comfortable shoes.
I don't wear socks at all.
I have the same ones, and have had them about a month. Mine have stretched slightly and I wear them all the time. Definitely no socks.
I wear an 8.5, but those slipped off my heels a bit. The 8 felt a bit too narrow, but otherwise were fine. I bought the 8. They ended up breaking in to perfectly fit my foot and are super comfortable. They do stretch, but I only needed them to stretch a little bit for more width.
I don't wear socks with them, but am sure to spray my feet with a foot deodorant before wearing
I wore the same pair for about 4 years. They didn't really stretch. My newer pair I've had since fall and they haven't stretched either.
I always wear no-show socks. This may be TMI, but if your feet sweat at all, they can kind of suction to the bottom of the shoe and then when you pull your foot out, you might pull up the lining on the bottom. It's weird, but just a heads-up because it happened to me once.
If you go with no socks, I'd suggest spraying your shoes every so often with a deodorizer or something similar. My sister never wears socks with hers and they stink!
What deodorizer would you recommend?
