Hi everyone,
I'm new to this board, and I just wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Laura, I am currently enlisted in the Navy, and I am married to Ron, who is prior Navy. We have been married for a little over a year now (but together for almost three years before that) and I am currently 16 weeks pregnant with our first child. I am originally from Oregon, and my husband is from San Diego. We are stationed in Central California at the moment, but hoping for orders to pop soon for Washington State. That's about all I have for now. Hit me up if you want to know more ![]()
P.S.- For anyone who was posting in the "Upcoming Deployment-How to Deal" blog, I am very sorry if I offended anyone with what I said. I am here to make friends, not enemies.
Re: Intro
It is a not a blog, it's a message board with threads and posts.
Other than that, welcome to the board! How long do you plan to stay in the Navy? Are you going to find out the sex of your baby or be team green?
LOL I JUST read the deployment post you speak of.
haha good times
Seems pretty typical...
Hi and Welcome!
I'm more of a lurker on this board than anything, but am a West Coast girl myself, so thought I would say hi.
I moved up to WA state from Monterey, CA. My H is stationed up here and we love it but don't have much longer here. When H gets back from deployment, we will be grabbing orders and hitting the road.
Congrats on the baby, as well! GL getting the order you want.
I'm trying to stay in and do my 20. I'm at 3 1/2 right now. Only 16 1/2 left. lol. Yeah we're gonna try and find out. We tried about a week ago, but the little guy/girl kept crossing his/her legs, and then rolled over. We got a couple good ass shots. lol.
Thank you. My grandpa was AF. He loved it while he was in. I went to my "A" School in Pensacola.
Thank you. I would love WA State. Where are you getting stationed next? Or do you know yet?
Sounds like my husband. He was in til last October, and he hasn't been able to find a job. He's applied to over 300 in the area, but no one's hiring.
Nice to meet you!
Sounds like a girl.
And I'm sorry but your SN makes me think of this.
I know, lol. My great-grandmother's nickname was Lollypop, and since I'm named after her I inherited the nickname too. I've been Lollypop since birth. It's what my mom calls me when she's not mad at me. (Then the first, middle, and last name comes out, lol) I used to sing the lollipop guild song when I was little.
That's what my friend at work told me too. I don't know. Me, my husband, and my mom have all had dreams that it's a boy. Either way, as long as they're healthy, I'll be happy.
I knew a girl who got the nickname Honey the same way. In fact, it was until I heard our teacher call her by her real name on the first day of class that I knew her real name. But he even started calling her Honey.
That's kinda funny. None of my teachers called me Lollypop, just my family.
