Sephora v. Ulta- Need Reccomendations

Good morning, ladies.  Long time lurker here.  I have learned so much from you, and I thank you.  I would like to use the sephora and Ulta discounts to stock up on some products and would appreciate recommendations- as well as whether the products are at Sephora only or both Sephora and Ulta.

I am 32 years old with combination skin.  I am acne prone- I am off BC and TTC.  I am looking for recommendations for face wash, moisturizer, eye cream, and BB cream. Thanks in advance.

Re: Sephora v. Ulta- Need Reccomendations

  • Typing from an iPad- wanted to add that I need a primer recommendation also and would like to focus on anti-aging, acne clearing, TTC safe facial products- which is probably a very tall order.  Thanks!

  • Bliss sounds like it would meet your needs.  I just ordered The Youth as we Know It anti aging night time cream.  Their products are not cheap, but they are made without a lot of chemicals.

In the Youth line they've got a facial wash, eye cream, and a day and night cream.

I just bought the night cream.  It's light enough that I could use it for day if I chose to.

I don't normally use all of one line.  My eye cream is All About Eyes by Clinique and I also use Clinique mild liquid face wash.

As for a BB cream, I haven't tried one yet so I don't have a recommendation except that I've heard people have not liked the Garnier one.  I might try the Clinique version.

Bliss is carried at both Sephora and Ulta.

  • Oh, and for primer, I use Benefit That Gal.

I've also tried Cover FX but didn't feel like it did anything except make my skin a little oily and shiny.

I also like Smashbox Color Correcting primer to help even out skin tone.
