Good morning! I am taking over the post, so please be understanding, it's my first post!
I was doing a little housekeeping on the list, and had a few questions. BritsLuna had her baby, because she was on my BMB, but I don't remember the exact details, and haven't seen her around in ages. When do you think I can axe her from the list?
I've paged another member of my BMB who never comes on here anymore, she has also had her adorable baby, and need to know if its okay to update or to take her off the list.
Does anyone know about txlioncub? Same thing, she was due last month, and I don't think we've heard from her in a long time. When is it okay to take her off the list?
Thanks!

QOTW: I know travel has been beaten to death on this post, but I have a question, so I'll ask. What do you do about carseats when you travel to your home country? Any other travel tips you have to offer would be greatly appreciated!
* If you have any questions you would like posted here, PLEASE let me know. I'm bad at coming up with things myself.
* If you have a change to make, please page me on this board, or please edit your info in the FB doc. I will try as hard as possible to keep the list updated, but to make sure I don't miss anything, it would be best if you please could let me know about your changes. Thanks!
Re: Mums, Bumps, and BBTs

How are things? Ups? Downs?
Ups: ctbaby is 4 months old now. Time is flying! In the past two weeks, he really changed. He is holding his head up really well when he's on his tummy. He can pull himself up to a sitting position when he's flat on my lap to get his bottle! I think he is really motivated to sit up.
Downs: Naps. Ugh! ctbaby used to take 2 hour naps in his swing. But now that he keeps trying to sit up, naps in the swing are out, because I need to watch him constantly in the swing. He's napping now his crib, yay! But, he naps for 45 minutes, wakes up, screams, eats, goes down for another 20 or so minutes. He is miserable, like screaming all the time, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM whenever he is awake, I think because he isn't getting in a good nap. I hope he can learn to nap longer in his bed.
QOTW: I don't have an answer for this, which is why I'm asking. We are thinking about just purchasing a convertible car seat, because we'll be traveling to the States for about a month at a time, at least twice a year, but the price is killing me!
Hi
Ups: DD took her first unassisted steps yesterday!
Downs: I had my first ultrasound today, and the doctor couldn't find a fetal pole yet. It's still early, so I'm going back next Thursday for another u/s in the hopes of seeing a baby with a heartbeat, but I'm also trying to mentally prepare myself for a blighted ovum and a m/c. If that's the case, then the timing is awful because we're leaving for the States the next day. Right now I'm just fluctuating between thinking positively "it's still too early" and negatively "it's probably a blighted ovum."
QOTW: My parents know people who have children slightly older than DD, so when we went home at Christmas they just borrowed a carseat from friends that we used while we were there.
Oh Kelly, I am sorry for the news. 5 weeks is still really early though, and it is really hard to find anything so early. I wish that the results of yesterday's u/s were better, but lots and lots of T&Ps for different results next week. I'm also sorry about the crappy timing. Lots of hugs to you!
Thanks. That's what I keep trying to tell myself, too - it's really early and still entirely possible that it's a viable pregnancy. I'm hoping that all the packing we have to do will keep my mind occupied during what will probably feel like one of the longest weeks of my life...
Kelly, really sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed for you that it is just a case of it being too early to detect... Hugs!!
Ups: N is in great form these last couple of weeks. She is a funny little thing really. When she hears music she "dances", even if she is crawling (this involves wiggling her bum!). Just the last few days she gave us a kiss each for the first time! So sweet, though we are just as likely to get a hand-off! And she's almost there with walking - practicing walking just holding one hand this week.
Downs: She has learnt the joys of climbing...... stairs, onto the sofa, our bed, her cot, kids chairs at the childminders... and we don't even have stairs that we use with her in the house (a bungalow) and neither does the childminder! I'm trying to teach her that she has to get down feet first, (which she did once yesterday from the sofa) rather than head first... There are going to be tears...
QOTW: I don't know, I'm sorry... haven't done much, if any travelling at all with N so the one seat has done us.
Kelly, Sending vibes your way.
Ups: The good weather is so nice for doing things outside.
Downs: Sore back after spending all day outside.
QOTD: The first time we went back to the states we brought our car seats since we were spending a week in a town where we didn't really know anyone. W was able to use it on the plane, which was nice. The next time we go back, which is at the end of the year, we'll likely bring both carseats. If the baby can get a seat, then they can use it on the plane. We'll use the CARES harness for W, and check his carseat. If we went back more frequently we'd probably just get one there.
Oh Kelly, I?m keeping you in my T?s and P?s and hoping for a positive outcome. I know the waiting sucks. been there.
Ups: The weather is nice and DD is really getting in to playing with her trike and bobby car. I hope to get her swing put up soon.
Downs: The weaning is not going so well. Girl can throw some serious tantrums.
QOTD: My brother gave us a Britax which we keep at my parents. I think we?ll get a cares harness to use on the plane in the future.
Kelly, I'm also sending you good vibes!
Ups - the weather is slowly improving here. I have a few work-related projects lined up that keep me positively focused.
Downs - no downs, just maybe that Aunt Flo is really here this week.
QOTD - I'm sorry, I don't have an answer
**ctgirl** not sure if I should mention it here but my b'day is Sept 1st
Stellina - you do know the birthdays are the babies' of The IN's birthdays and not our personal ones...this is a baby, bumps and trying group. You are welcome to post whether you have one or not (baby that is), but thought I'd let you know.
Ups - I'm on two weeks holiday from school.
Downs - couldn't go to Paris due to FIL having minor heart attack
Ups - FIL is fine and at home
Downs - my continuations of IVF is off again due to cysts. Second month in a row and it's pissing me off. I'm too old for this ***.
Qotd - none from me.
Yikes - I hope the doctors have figured out why it happened and that your FIL sees the wake-up call for what it is and makes any necessary lifestyle changes!
Oh, I get it. Thank you
Oh dear, how frightening that must have been for you guys UKyankee.
Kelly, I'm sorry to hear that. Hugs honey.
As for us?
Downs: we're all sick. All of us. And when the twins are miserable, we're all miserable.
Ups: we've been extra cuddly with the cat (all 4 of us) in an attempt to make him sick too so he'll shut the hell up for a couple of days and let us all get some sleep!
Car seats: We just brought our UK ones with us. They don't snap into a bar the way they do in the States, but they strap in the same way that they do here so we were fine with it.
Chronically hilarious - you'll split your stitches!
I wrote a book! Bucket list CHECK!

She definitely hasn't been around on the board in ages. But she could use some major health vibes. I keep up with her blog still and she's facing lots of challenges.
2012 Reading Challenge
Now Nesting from Chicago, IL My nail blog:
Hello ladies!
Ups: dd turns 21 months old today - and dh comes home tomorrow and dd and I are nearly over the sickness we've had this week - can't WAIT for a nice long weekend with him
Downs: we've been sick on and off for 2 weeks now, this whole change of weather thing into Autumn is NOT fun
QOTW: I bought a sit'n'stroll - it works well in the airport as a stroller, can be gate checked (I got the nice bag that comes with it) or you can use it on the plane (although I won't cause she's so big now I don't want her to kick the seat in front of us, but I did use it for the domestic flight last time - worked well cause she slept but MAN it was heavy to carry OVER the seats to our seat). But then I use it in my parent's car too when we are visiting. I think that works really well for us. Only thing that's not great is it doesn't recline like a normal stroller for sleeping out and about - but that's no big deal since they have an umbrealla stroller we can borrow. On the flights this time I will use our CARES harness.
it definitely was expensive, but I figure we'll use it for the next kid too, and because they are so rare (at least here in Oz) it'll have good resale value
