Need help with accessorizing

I mostly lurk on this board but thought I would post becauseI need help with accessorizing a black dress that I plan on wearing to a wedding on the 13th. I want to make the dress a little trendier and just make me feel a little more confident (finding a dress 4 months post-partum is depressing)... Here is a link to the dress-

My goal is to not spend over like $50 accessorizing and I would prefer a heel that isnt super high since I havent really worn heels since before my DS was born (2+ years ago).

The dress hits me right below the knee since I'm pretty tall. TIA!

Hey, I'm from Villa Hills originally! There is a Charming Charlies over at Crestview -- I'm not sure if you've checked it out before but it is a huge place and everything is broken down by color so that makes it a little easier to maneuver around. Everything is very affordable too -- you could easily get shoes, some jewelry, and a clutch for $75-100

Thats where I was planning on going :-) but I dont have any idea of what style of jewelry to get or what color to get. I bought some blue jewelry from there when I wore this dress while pregnant and I ended up hating how it looked, it just looked weird for some reason, maybe it wasnt formal enough or something? I dunno...

Do you tend to gravitate towards warm or cool colors? Are you more of a silver or gold person? Because you could do almost anything with the black. Sorry, lots of ?s but are you dark or light haired?

I have light brown hair with blonde highlights and blue eyes and pretty pale skin...here is a pic (not super recent but it shows my coloring the best). I tend to wear silver but thats just what I tend to wear...in all honesty I mostly wear black, grey, white and teals/blues to bring out my eyes...I'm not very adventurous with color though I'm branching out a little :-)

I agree, the teals and blues look great on you, but you should try switching it up this time :-). On their website you can break it down by color, and I really like some of their coral/gold pieces. I feel like just about anyone can wear coral and it's a pretty popular color right now. You'd also look great with purples or a purple/silver combination if you really don't want to try the gold accents.
