I got the results from my mammo and ultrasound. I got a call from them today saying that I need to see a surgeon just to get the results. Not that I will necessarily need the services of one, but I guess only a surgeon is qualified to give me the report in layman's terms. I'm going to use my mom's surgeon since she likes him and he already knows the family history part of this. Since I'm going to someone else that isn't associated with the hospital where I got the tests, I had to pick up the results. I read the report, and basically (I think) it says that I have what is more than likely a fibroadenoma in each breast. They both are well contained shapes and most likely benign. The report suggests a follow-up mammo in six months.
I don't know if that means I'm in the clear for a biopsy or not. I'm also concerned that they're going to tell me to hold off on TTC until they can get another mammo in 6 months (which would make me very unhappy).
So all-in-all no bad news, but not an all-clear either.
And just the thought that I have to meet with a surgeon, even if I don't need surgery makes me queezy.

Are you allowed to read your own test results? :0)
I hope the surgeon just confirms the good news for you. Good luck at the appointment.
I don't think technically, they gave them to me because I was going to a different surgeon than the one they have at the hospital. I don't understand 100% of what it says anyways. But had I made an appointment with the on-campus surgeon, I would have been kept in suspense until the appointment.
I still haven't called to make an appointment with the surgeon. I think I'm going to change my mind and go with the on-campus one, because the one my mom uses is about a 45 minute drive, versus a 5 minute drive with the hospital.
