I've been a sewing maniac lately and recently finished a little piggie dress for my littlest. She likes oinking a lot, so it seemed appropriate.

The pattern was Simplicity 2270 and was easy, although I did change up the pockets a bit. But my goodness, I was in the throws of some horrible allergies while making this and it took me several nights, unnecessarily. I'd do one step of the pattern, maybe 2, and then sit and stare into nothing for an hour and decide to go to bed. ACK! On allergy pills finally and doing much better.
I took her to the rodeo to get a picture of her holding a little pig in her piggie dress. YUP. I finished her dress the night before we went to the rodeo *just* so I could get this picture:

What cuties (your daughter is precious as always and that pig is too cute)! I totally get you on the allergies. When I am "foggy," I am flat out useless.
Thanks for the pattern reference. That style is one of my favorites and LA has outgrown the free one I have. The little jacket is so cute too!

Thanks everyone for all the compliments!
CatGal: I did it with a woven. It does *not* list knit as one of the ideal fabrics on the back of the envelope and I know I might be worried about the collar going wonky with knit, but I am *far* from a knit expert.
Wishes: HA! happy as a pig in mud -- wish I had thought of that!
Justin: I'm surprised you need the pattern -- the one you did the other day looks so much like it! I was very impressed with the ruffly collar that you free-handed! I'm very Type A and NEED directions. And my goodness, I have more dress patterns than my girls could ever fit in before they get tired of me making their clothes...

Flat, curved collars are harder to get right for me without a pattern (besides, for a $1 when they are on sale, I'll use a pattern every day!).
Ruffles--easy! The gathers hide imperfections in fit!
