Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

@ DH company on friday.....some people got raises, others got laid off. Glad he was in the first and not the 2nd!

He might strongly consider actively looking for alternate employment...eek.
This. He was lucky this time...maybe not so much next time. I wouldn't be comfortable working for an organization that functioned that way. I would be in constant fear of losing my job!

I mostly found it odd that they would do it together.
I have no problem with lay offs for people who dont pull their weight.
I saw something in the paper similar to his situation at Westchester Medical Center..
My neighbor's company just laid off a bunch of people and then this week he got a new Mac laptop (the super thin one) and they planned the company conference somewhere expensive. Strange.
