I know there are several regulars on here from WA, but I think most are around the Seattle area....any insights on Pullman? DH just got a job at WSU so we are migrating north this summer.
My two PCOS miracles!

Re: WA ladies - come in
I live in Seattle, but grew up in Pullman. My family still lives there. The town centers around WSU -- which makes for a nice community, feel. Lots of the entertainment/activties are provided by the college (performances, sporting events, etc.). Very safe, very clean and excellent schools.
It is a small town, though without much beyond the university. However, it is relatively close (8 miles) to another college town (Uof Idaho -Moscow). Spokane is about 1.5 hours north and has ample shopping, concert venue, minor league sports teams, etc.
Hmmm. What else? Weather - all four seasons, Medium COL, virtually no traffic.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you need any more information.
I got nothin'.
'cept the drive between Spokane and Pullman is... interesting.
I am the 99%.
Interesting in a good way or bad way?! I know I'll be flying out of Spokane all the time for work now since I will have to head back east fairly often.
It's funny, everyone keeps telling me how small it is...which I'm looking forward to myself but that is definitely the first thing everyone seems to say. Small, nice, good community, good schools...just small.
I grew up in New England... an hour and a half drive was Boston to Springfield on I-90. There were cities and people and towns and trees hills and stuff along the way.
The drive between Spokane and Pullman is flat and barren. Buildings are a rarity. The drive is a lot of this:
