TTM about heat/humidity and speed

I've only been running since October, and I now realize I just ran through the sweet spot of Houston weather.  As the heat and humidity rise, I'm seeing my times get slower.

Now I'm nothing if not persistent, so I'm not about to give up, but I want to know that I'm not crazy -- the heat and humidity are slowing me down, right?

Can someone assure me that if I run through this hot, wet blanket of a summer I'll be pleasantly surprised come fall?
