Re: @ play set question

At that age I'm not sure how much play you'd still get out of it.

yeah this is my issue, lol. I think we really just need a full on swing set but people are selling some good stuff on craigslist and at garage sale soon so I'm trying to gauge what's out there. I think ideally I'm looking at something more like the one below if we can get our hands on a cheap used one.

If you are handy you should be able to pick up a decent play structure on craigslist for not much $$$.
I highly recommend getting the biggest play structure you can afford/fit in your yard.
It was reassuring to see then 14 yr old SD and her friends play on our play structure.
Our 12 year old neighbor uses the bar that holds the swings as a balance beam on his play structure. I sends me into nervous fits

I'm looking at something like that for DD (and subsequently the new baby) and she's 21 months old. Sadly, my CL is bare or things are being sold in a matter of hours-I've been stalking it for days.
We just want to move so badly, I cannot jusitfy spending the money for something more "permanent".
Ok, see, now I know I've forgotten my own childhood because the idea of B doing this makes me faint.
And then I remembered - I did the EXACT SAME DAMN THING as a kid. Complete with doing gymnastic routines on it.
Jeebus.

I get hives thinking about having the basic metal swing set, though its the closest thing we could afford right now. We had one growing up and the 'rents had to chain it down cuz we'd swing so hard it'd come up off the ground on the one side. Then we had it so long it became all rusty and gross.
